we got Westley now 2 when he was under a year shortly after we got a 6 week mutlipoo / terrier the two always got along with Westley always the alpha male they would play nicely sometimes a little ruff but nothing to be worried about. Westley would bark at strangers walking by the window but would quite down as soon as I would say no and on walks he would maybe bark at men who wore hates but not to much he has always been a loving dog and thrives on attention and being petted but now lately his behavior has done a 360 his play time with the terrier now 1 yrs old has turned into a mean fight with the terrier getting hurt and he's biting and grawling at family members that he has always lived with. anyone who comes to visit us even if they've been to our home on more then one occasion he attacks violently and wont listen to my commands to stop. I'm scared that he will hurt my grandchildren who also live here with us and Westley knows well I have to keep him in the room lately because he has become to aggressive to be around anyone and my sweet loving submissive terrier wants to play and doesn't understand why Westley is being so mean and aggressive I don't know why hes acting this way and I don't know what to do I realy don't want to give him up to the humane society because I know he loves me but I'm afraid he will seriously hurt someone soon what do I do

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
