Aggresive rescue dog

I adopted this dog who is a blue tick hound. She is very well behaved but has a tendency of attacking my other puppies in the house. I've a English red tick hound and a chihuahua. The red tick is 4 months and the Chihuahua is 2.5 months. The blue tick attacks and makes them bleed constantly. I'm afraid she will become aggressive with my children so when it's feeding time or whenever we give her good and toys I send in the back yard. Is there any tips that could be offered to help the aggresion stop? She is such a good sweet girl. I don't want to lose her and she's very protective. As when strangers attempt to enter she growls and pushers the door closed.
My biggest worry is she attacked the puppy and had dragged her through the house and the bleeding was worse then normal. So was the aggression. Normally She stops once they make a sound of pain but tonight she didn't. Tonight she accidentally bit me in the process of attacking my puppy. What can I do?

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
