Aggressive 7 pound Yorkie

by Louise M.
(Sudbury Ontario canada)

We have a 12 year old harmless, non barking shitzhu, named Mistee, who is afraid of storms...4 years ago, we decided to get a Yorkie Silkie who is full grown at 7 pounds. Her name is Kiki. This past year, the Yorkie has jumped on our old Shitzhu numerous times... Both are females and it seems like if one looks at the other wrong, Kiki jumps on Mistee and attacks her in the back of her neck.
We separate them and tell Kiki "No Bad" but we don't know what else to do...both are very cuddly dogs and neither of them eat the same "chewy treats".
Help!!!

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
