Aggressive Chihuahua 3 year old.

I took in an adorable three year old female. Her owner was being placed in a nursing home. The children were going to place her in the pound. Prior to this owner, the previous owner had to give her up for the same reason. Only three and now three owners. When I met peanut the people had her in a box. I tried to take her out and she snarled, tried to bite me. They then said it takes a few days to like people. It has been four days. No one can touch her or get near her. She has her own quit little space. When I give her fresh food and water she snarls at me. I can't get a collar or leash on her to take her outside. So she empties in one spot on the floor. What do you suggest?

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
