Aggressive JRT

I have had my jrt for 9 years. He is very aggressive over food and my attention. We recently added a cane corso puppy to our family and they have been in numerous brawls where the Jrt starts them. At first the puppy would run away, but the bigger he is gotten the more he will fight back. Their latest fight resulted in a $700 surgery for the her. And he is still aggressive toward the Cane corso puppy. I want them to live harmoniously. What do I do?

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
