Aggressive lab/hound mix

WE have a hound/lab mix, she is about 10 months old. She is very aggressive toward flip flop shoe on anybody, if you tell her no she will bite at you, also in the last few weeks she has been very aggressive for no reason,she will jump on the kids laying on the couch and if you try to get her down she bites them, She will sit and look at you sometimes and if you don't give her attention she will start barking, if you tell her no then she grows and barks, she get very aggressive with showing her teeth and trying to bite. We are getting very concerned with this behavior, the kids are fearful of her now.
ANy suggestions as to what to do?

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
