Aggressive Miniature Greyhound

by Sarah

I have a 14 year old mini greyhound who has only just started being aggressive towards my boyfriend. He has always been hesitate to trust men, but he an my boyfriend have gotten along well until now. He was rescued at 2ish years old from two rounds in a abusive home. He has only ever been aggressive towards my brother (who looks exactly like the original owner who broke his hip and all of his little toes and paws). He has only showed aggression when I am laying on the bed and my boyfriend climbs in the bed after I have laid down (though he's only ever bitten and tried to bit him when we are his bed; ge won't even open his eyes when in my bed). I have no idea what to do with him now. He's so old now and has never had a problem with my boyfriend before. Please help!

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
