aggressive pitt bull

my husband and I adopted a pitt at the shelter she has a birth defect only 3 legs. when we brought her home she played with our other dog a 12 year old lab and 2 cats we also rescued a male 1/2 rott 1/2 German Shepard. when she was around 8 months old she started biting my lab hard enough to draw blood and she now hates the cats. we need to keep them all separated and it can be difficult. she is the sweetest dog with people, loves kids and gets along good with our 2 year old rescue. there are times she becomes so aggressive that she scares the heck out of my sister. You can take food away from here toy's whatever but I don't know if she is psycho or what. Someone said if she has a physical disability maybe a mental one also. please help we are so in love with her.

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
