Aggressive Saint Bernard

by WILMA J.
(GAUTENG SOUTH AFRICA)

I have a 2 year old neutered saint Bernard, he is not aggressive to any dogs at the dog park and all the dogs roam around off lead. I have 7 Scottish terriers, he is fine with all of them except for my wheaten scotty who has not been neutered as I use him for breeding.

Recently my saint Bernard bends down and tries to bite my Scottish terrier when they hear something in the road and all of them run to the gate. He has bitten my scotty 3 times in the last 2 days and I am worried that he will kill him as he is very strong.
My wheaten scotty is not an aggressive dog and has never got into a fight with any other dog, he however constantly marks his territory and will even wee on my female Scotties while they are squatting. All the females that I have at the moment have been spayed.

Please can you give me some advise as I love my dogs to bits and would not like to re-home any of them.

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
