Aggressive Sister

by Kim
(Concord NH)

I have two female Wire Haired Terrier and Chihuahua mix sisters. They are two years old and recently they were both fixed. One of the sisters has become agressive to her sister. How do I stop this behavior? Ive used the spray bottle of water and it deterred the fight but if I blink for a second one of them attacks the other and bite each other. What can I do? Please help! I love both of them very much and don't want to give one away. Thank you for any advice.

Sounds like pure jealousy..my thought is maybe you should have got another dog when she was a pup. And did you show affection to other dogs when she WAS a pup sorry as usual i misread the fact that theyre sisters..duh

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
