Aggressive Yorkie

I have a family daycare. The dog came in at 12 weeks old. He is very friendly with the kids and most daycare parents. There are only a couple he barks at. Also, my cousin came to visit and he bit. not to bit the skin but def bit. Almost in a playful way but it was also seeming like he was anxious.

He has done it to some visitors. I have notices he does it when I hold him and he is seeming like he is protecting me. He also doesn't like it when people try to pet him when we are on walks.

He is an angel when its just our family in our home.

Can anyone give me suggestions on how to stop this now? He is only 9 months old and the behavior just started but I don't want the problem to get worse.

Thank you

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
