Agressive Cane Corso

My dog is very sweet and submissive to everyone when he is outside of his kennel, but when he is in his kennel he growls at my mom and my step dad. I don't know why and I don't know what to do. He stopped growling at my step dad, but when my cousin moved in I guess he might've been spooked and he started growling at my step dad again. My mom came home from work one night and my dog started growling at her, usually all she has to do is just look at him and he will stop, but that night he didn't. She went down there a couple of minutes later and he was fine (she didn't even look at him). And that night he was very spooked before she arrived home and he was barking for no specific reason. I'm not sure how to take this. How do I fix this? What is happening and why is he acting like this?

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
