Bonnie's agression

by Scarlett D. S
(Colorado Springs,co)

I have this 5 year old redheaded cockapoo and since her last birthday in February she has been acting stranger and stranger. At first i thought it was just something that i need to train her not to do... but then it got worse!! When me and my sister were playing rough one evening my cockapoo came into the room barking and going after my sister.. i was so worried and scared. she first tried to bite her in the face, my sister was scared and said "I'm scared of Bonnie.." another incident was when my 9 year old sister was playing rough with me Bonnie was by my side and got up and barked at my sister wagging her tail. I got so confused if she was playing or being mean? She also tried to bite me in the face when we were in the car, when i was playing with her ear.. What should i do?

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
