I HAVE A 11 MONTH OLD WESTHIGHLAND TERRIER AND ON THE WHOLE IS A LOVING DOG AND NOT AGGRESSIVE UNTIL HE HAS SOMETHING HE SHOULDN'T HAVE LIKE CHOCOLATE! HE WILL RUN AWAY AND HIDE AND ANY ATTEMPT OF GETTING IT FROM HIM WE ARE MET WITH SNARLING, GROWLING AND BITING. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IT AWAY FROM HIM WITHOUT HIM DRAWING BLOOD.

WHAT CAN WE DO HE JUST IS VERY STUBBORN AND IF HE WANTS IT HE CAN HAVE IT ACCORDING TO HIM,

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
