Great dane,lab mix

My dog has always been friendly to people since we adopted him at the age of 2 or so.he seemed timid around big guys wit beards or long hair and would just bark.here lately though he has snapped at 2 people and then myself when i intervened.he is a great dog and i really want to fix this problen what can i do?

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
