my dog seems angry

by Ginger
(Virginia )

My almost two year old sheperd recently killed a cat in the last Mth and just riped a hole in my pits ear I've always notice he was insecure fear based aggressive he only likes me and my son but I've been injured twice prying open his jaws to get him off both the cat and my pit. When he goes he doesn't stop I'm a trainer but at this moment I'm afraid of my dog and I don't trust him he needs more exercise and attention I'm hoping once my hand heals I can do that. Any advice I'm experienced handling dogs even aggressive dogs but he wants to kill

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
