Agressive Miniature Dachshund Puppy

Our miniature dachshund is 7 months old, and when I put her dress on her, she doesn't like it. She growls, shows her teeth and bites me. How do I handle this short of not putting the dress on her? She needs the dresses on because she gets cold and starts shivering.

My Aggressive Miniature Dachshund

I have an almost 2 year old miniature dachshund. We got him when he was around twelve weeks old. At first he was the most loving creature ever. He loved everyone and didn't mind strangers coming up to pet him, or even other dogs. We have a ten year old golden retriever who is the biggest baby ever. It took about three days for our golden to warm up to the new puppy, but now they love each other and always play and cuddle.

After having the dachshund puppy for a few months, he became a bit more aggressive. He absolutely hates strangers now and acts like he's going to rip them apart. He growls, snarls, nips and barks at anyone who comes to our house. There's very few people he actually likes. That, I can deal with. But recently, if a piece of food is dropped on the floor, and both of the dogs go for it, the dachshund becomes very aggressive and attacks the golden and bites at his face to get it. And if I were to scold him for doing so, he turns on me and does the same thing and shows his teeth and tried to bite me. If he is barking at anything he sees through the window and I try to discipline him with a stern "No," or tap him on the rump, he freaks out and growls and attacks me and doesn't stop.

I don't know how to fix his aggression problem. I know he's a dachshund and he definitely has little man syndrome, but I can't handle having such an aggressive dog around, especially one that hates strangers and children who aren't even touching him. How do I stop it??

Good morning, after releasing my puppy from his kennel this morning to potty he started acting strange such as running from me as if he was scared. When I finally caught him he made an unusual bark @ me I picked him up & he continued to squirm around and wouldn't be still. After putting him down he started chewing on his tail & making strange moves, tried picking him up again 2 place him back in his kennel & he barked & tried to bite me, I woke my son up to come get him to be placed in his kennel . He appears to be calm as of now but I'm wondering what's wrong because he never acted out like this before, he's 8 weeks old.

Aggressive Dachshund

I have a 6 month old dachshund and he has moments when he turns vicious. At first I thought it was due to bones laying around, but he just bit me trying to pick him up to go outside. He was just sitting on the couch watching tv and when my husband walked over to pet him and he snapped at him. When I went over to pick him up to put him in his crate and he bit my hand and arm. He has been doing this a lot lately and I don't know what else to do. Swatting at his behind doesn't help.

Aggressive Dachshund Pup

Hi, we have a 3 month old dachshund puppy he is an outdoor dog and loves to play but when ever we do try to play with him he tries to bite and its not a little nibble but a aggressive harsh bite, to where he leaves us cuts. We have given him toys and walk him when we can but nothing seems to be working. How can we make him stop biting? We don't want him to grow up being aggressive towards us
